Saramdeul to Build Pet Immunity-Based Healthcare Business Model with NKCL Bio
Group, a Specialized NK Cell Therapy Company
Pet life-care platform company Dangnyangiwa Saramdeul
announced on the 18th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU)
with immune cell-based biotechnology company NKCL Bio Group for the joint
development of pet healthcare and bio products, and has begun establishing an
integrated business model combining AI-based data platforms with biotechnology.
Despite the rapid growth of the
domestic pet market, healthcare, insurance, and commerce continue to operate in
a fragmented structure, while data-driven services remain at an early stage. In
particular, pet insurance penetration remains at approximately 1%, making it a
representative untapped market with significant room for expansion.
Targeting this market
structure, Dangnyangiwa Saramdeul is building an integrated model centered on
its AI healthcare platform “Petcare 247,” connecting data → insurance →
commerce → leisure.
A key competitive advantage
secured through this collaboration is NKCL Bio Group’s NK cell-based immune
biotechnology. The technology is regarded as a next-generation biotechnology
applicable across various fields, including cancer treatment, immune
enhancement, inflammation regulation, aging, and chronic disease response.
Based on this collaboration,
the two companies plan to jointly develop and commercialize high-value product
groups, including pet NK cell and stem cell therapeutics, immune enhancement
products, functional nutritional supplements and healthcare solutions, as well
as data-driven customized bio products.
Dangnyangiwa Saramdeul will
also pursue a precision risk analysis-based pet insurance model utilizing
health data accumulated on the platform. As the existing pet insurance market
has faced growth limitations due to high loss ratios and low enrollment rates,
the strategy is to improve the market through data-driven underwriting.
In addition, the companies
aim to maximize customer lifetime value (LTV) by linking bio products with
platform commerce to create a structure that leads from product experience to
purchase.
An official from Dangnyangiwa
Saramdeul stated, “This collaboration with NKCL Bio Group goes beyond simple
product development and marks a starting point for transforming the pet
industry into a data-driven industry. By combining AI platforms with immune biotechnology,
we aim to establish a business structure expandable not only in Korea but also
in the global market.”
The official added, “Our goal
is to grow into an integrated platform encompassing pet healthcare, insurance,
and commerce within the next three to five years and secure a unique position
in the market.”
